WOHS offers a year-long September to September three unit residency program with three clinical specialty practicum periods for residents.  The program is designed to learn the art and practice of professional spiritual care and to gain experience as a Spiritual Health Therapist.  

Emphasis will be on developing theoretical foundations, preparing for certification with CASC and advocating for spiritual health therapy through research while gaining hands on clinical experience.  Clinical experience will be in all areas of hospital care including: palliative care, mental health, intensive care units, and emergency and trauma.  Brampton Civic Hospital (BCH) and Etobicoke General Hospital (EGH) serve as the clinical context as well as the new Peel Memorial Building upon completion in 2016.  

Program hours are: Monday through Friday 0800-1600 with holidays and vacation days. 

Students taking this unit must also take KNP3511 "Spiritual Care Assessment and Planning" simultaneously.  This course will be offered Friday mornings at Knox College.
