Rev. Bill Ford, M.Div., RP
Rev. Bill Ford is the Manager of the Spiritual Care Department and the Certified Supervisor-Educator (CPE) at Unity Health Toronto (St. Joseph’s Health Centre and St. Michael’s Hospital).
Bill completed a B.A. (Mount Allison University, Sackville, NB) and a M. Div. (Atlantic School of Theology, Halifax, NS); he is an Ordained Minister with The United Church of Canada (1994). Bill obtained his CASC Specialist Certification in 2010 and his CASC Supervisor-Educator Certification in 2020. Bill has served in United Church congregations in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland & Labrador and began hospital ministry in 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre and Janeway Children’s Hospital in St. John’s, NL. Prior to becoming the Manager at Unity Health Toronto in 2018, Bill was employed at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Spiritual Care Practitioner/Chaplain for the Odette Cancer Program and as the Professional and Education Leader for the Spiritual and Religious Care team. In 2013, Bill was awarded the Schulich Award for Nursing and Clinical Excellence recognizing front-line staff who demonstrates clinical excellence in their practice.
