CPE Full Time Residency (Advanced Level)
University Health Network (4)

University Health Network offers a year-long three unit residency program that includes three clinical specialty practicum periods for residents. This program is designed to teach the practice of spiritual care, as well as allow residents to gain clinical experience practicing as Spiritual Care Providers and collaborating with the clinical interprofessional teams.

The emphasis of this program is on developing theoretical foundations, preparing for certification with CASC and advocating for spiritual care through research, while gaining hands on clinical experience.  Residents will gain clinical experience at all University Health Network sites, including Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, and Toronto Rehab.

Educational Program hours are: Monday through Friday 0830-1630.  Residents will also be expected to participate in the on-call rotation. On-call shifts include weekday evenings (1630-2300), as well as weekends. Residents will receive $28/hr during on-call.

This program will be open enrollment throughout the year so non-resident students have the option to take single full time units.
