Angela Schmidt is the Leader of Spiritual Care at the Royal Victoria Hospital

Angela Schmidt, M.A. D.Min, Teaching Supervisor (CASC), Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO), is the new Leader of Spiritual Care at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie Ontario. Her role at RVH is to build a Centre for Supervised Pastoral Education to train spiritual care providers while also supporting staff, patients and families. Angela was the Manager of Spiritual care at Grey Bruce Health Services for fifteen years, Adjunct Faculty for Waterloo Lutheran Seminary and Redeemer University College teaching in the area of psychotherapy and spiritual care, and formerly worked as a marriage and family therapist. She has published “Partnerships between Hospital and Community for Spiritual Care” and is currently editing a book entitled ‘Thriving on the Edge’ based on the keynote speakers and workshops of the CASC 2015 conference.
